Running Across America

Wellsville middle school just received an impromptu visit from a man that is walking his way across America. Chris Nicholas just crossed mile 1,100 when he got to Wellsville, KS and stopped by the school so he could share his mission and his stories with our kids. The mission: spend 73 days walking/jogging from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles CA. Not for time and not for distance, just for the journey. Hello, my name is Jerry Henn. I will be the incoming Superintendent for Wellsville Schools beginning the summer of 2012. Wellsville USD #289 will hold induction ceremonies for the newest members to the Wellsville Wall of Fame on May 19, 2012 at 5:30pm in the Kermit Deterding Gymnasium.
