We are so proud to share that Zach Rice has been called up to perform with the All-State Choir this week! 🎶 After previously being named an alternate, he is now officially a member of this prestigious ensemble. This is an incredible and well-deserved accomplishment! Rehearsals start today and the performance is Saturday at 11:30 AM at Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center in Wichita. Way to go, Zach! 🎵

4:30 - JV boys and JV Girls
6:00 - Freshmen Boys and Varsity Girls
7:30 - Varsity Boys

Senior Night festivities will be held after the Varsity Girls game!

🏀Middle School Boys Basketball Saturday Information - both squads are in the 4-team bracket for a League Championship!
7th Grade will play at 9:00 at Wellsville
8th Grade will play at 10:00 at Iola.

The winner of that each of those games plays at 12:00; the 3rd place game will be at 11:00

Today, high school students reported concerns to staff regarding a list of student names and possible threats to students on the list. Upon initial investigation by USD 289 staff, it was discovered that the list was created in October 2025 or earlier. As all of the actions by students in this matter took place outside of school and off school property, the matter was turned over to the Wellsville Police Department and Officer Pelts, SRO, for further investigation. While this took place off school property, it is possible students will hear about it at school, and we wanted to bring this to your attention and avoid rumors as much as possible. Student safety is our highest priority, and we will work with the Wellsville Police Department to support the investigation and keep students safe. If you have any questions regarding the investigation, please contact the Wellsville Police Department.

This morning, a vehicle accident occurred in part on school property at approximately 8 o'clock this morning. This was a one vehicle accident. Due to the presence of police and emergency response personnel in the area, we wanted to make you aware of this situation. Students and staff remain safe inside the building.
