Due to the construction projects, we have been getting a few questions regarding the start time of school. We are thoroughly preparing to begin the school year on time! We have not had any discussions regarding delaying the start of school.
We look forward to seeing students return on Aug. 17th!
Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year is open! Enrollment codes were sent out this week. If you did not receive one or are having trouble accessing it, please get in touch with the district office at 785-883-2388. The enrollment platform can be accessed through the district website.

Wellsville FBLA received our first two awards last night! We were first place in the nation in the Adopt-a-Chapter event and we placed 5th as a Gold seal chapter!

While we are thrilled that students, graduates, and patrons are utilizing USD 289 facilities, any student, graduate, etc. should only be utilizing the facilities under the supervision of a staff member or approved summer, camp, or program that has been authorized to use the building. This is due not only to ongoing construction but for the general health of our students, patrons, and facilities.
Mason McCarthy and Jacob Newhouse received Kansas All State patch for the season for having a shooting average above 23, only 50 patches were given out!
Wellsville Eagle Clays had 6 members completed at Kansas State 1A division on Saturday, June 17. Loren Turner, Mason Lytle, Mason McCarthy, Keegan Hunt, Jacob Newhouse, & Tatum Graham. Mason McCarthy & Keegan Hunt shot a perfect round of 25 straight!
Mason McCarthy was awarded 1st place Male for the season in the conference for Wellsville Eagle Clays!
Wellsville Eagle Clays had a great day at Kansas State on Friday, June 16. Loren Turner took 1st place in Ladies Skeet Novice division! She was also awarded 2nd place in Ladies division in the conference for the season!
