First round starts at 1:00 PM!

At this time, USD 289 is planning to be in session on Thursday, January 11th, 2024. This is an early release day (11:15 am). At this time, there are some country roads on bus routes that are still not drivable for buses or areas that will allow a bus to turn around safely. If a driver is not able to access a road to pick up the student safely, the parent/guardian will be contacted to arrange for an alternate pickup spot or discuss if the parent/guardian would be able to bring the student to school. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to get students to and from school safely.
MS Boys Basketball travels to Baldwin tomorrow for 4:00 PM games.

JH Gym 8B followed by 8A
The Special Board Meeting for new board member training will still occur (today) Wednesday, January 10th, at 6 pm in the Secondary Media Center.
The Aaron Patton Memorial Tournament will start at 1:00 PM on Thursday. Senior Night will take place at approximately 5:30 PM at the conclusion of the round.
Admission $5 Adults and $3 K-12 Students. No passes.
HS Basketball and HS Wrestling will have non-mandatory practices today.
HS BB will start at 3:00 PM.
HS WR will start at 3:30 PM.
Please only attend if the roads are safe to travel to the school.
HS Basketball will still have practices on Thursday morning.
Eagle Basketball plays in the Baldwin Invitational tournament next week. We will play the following schedule for the Round-Robin tournament:
Tuesday 1/16 vs Baldwin at 7 PM
Friday 1/19 vs Augusta 5:30 PM
Saturday 1/20 vs Bishop Seabury 1:00 PM
9th Girls BB will travel to Desoto on Tuesday, January 16th for a 7:00 PM game.
The HS Basketball games scheduled for Wednesday, January 10th at SFT have been postponed.
Pioneer League Scholars Bowl scheduled for Wednesday, January 10th has been postponed.
Due to severe weather and road conditions, all USD 289 classes are canceled for Wednesday, January 10th, 2024. Decisions and announcements regarding activities will be made and posted to the district website - live feed section by noon tomorrow.
HS Basketball at SFT has been moved to Wednesday, January 10th at 4:30 PM.
There will be no 9th/C Girls at SFT.
MS Boys BB at Iola has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 30th. There will be no SchBowl at Paola.
There will be no practices for USD 289 on Tuesday, January 9th.
Due to the early arrival and higher-than-anticipated accumulation of snow today, we will release secondary students at 11:15 am and elementary students at 11:30 am. Buses will take students home beginning at 11:15am. Afternoon PreK today is canceled. All PM activities and practices are postponed/canceled. If your pickup plans are changing for your student, please contact the bldg office to let them know. We apologize for the inconvenience we know that early dismissal causes families, but we want to get students home in a safe manner.
We are moving Winter Courts back a week to Friday, February 16th. This change was made due to travel for the Girls Wrestling Regional on Saturday, February 10th at Sabetha.
Winter Courts and Senior Night will both take place on Friday, February 16th vs Santa Fe Trail.
MS Boys BB will play at Iola today at 4:00 PM. We are shortening halftimes, and the time between games. Good Luck!
